The Dublin Unit is responsible for the Swedish Migration Agency's processing of cases under the Dublin Regulation, which is the EU regulation that determines the criteria and mechanisms for a member state's responsibility to examine an asylum application submitted by third-country nationals. The unit's work is characterized by an international focus, with daily contacts with countries within Europe, including through the EU common systems DublinNet and Schengen Information System. The unit is also responsible for reviewing decisions made by the Migration Court and the Migration Court of Appeal.
